Today is the one year anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA). The court’s ruling upheld the law’s central provision — a requirement that all people have health insurance. Health Equity advocates remember this day very well, since this legislation presents a unique opportunity to eliminate disparities by increasing access and addressing deficiencies in our State’s health system.
