Raye J. Mutcherson II, Ph.D. is currently serving as a Consultant for the Springfield (MA.) Department of Public Health in the area of Bio/Medical Ethics. In Fall 2011 he will be entering graduate studies at Yale School of Nursing, Graduate Entry Prespecialty in Nursing (GEPN) program training as a clinical research nurse. His doctoral training was at University of Connecticut Health Center in the Department of Genetics and Developmental Biology, in the areas of complex human disease and mechanisms of Aging. He is a Health Leadership Fellow with the Connecticut Health Foundation working in the areas of Health Disparities and Health Promotion. Upon completion of the GEPN program he will focus his research efforts in mechanisms and pathology in Cancer Biology at the molecular level. Additionally working to close the gap in Health Disparities, developing a frame work for improved Health Promotion and Health Education.
