There’s no question that access to affordable and quality healthcare can play a large role in eliminating health disparities in the U.S. However, in the state of union, the president largely avoided speaking about this important health legislation.
Tomorrow, the White House is holding office hours on Twitter to respond to issues mentioned during the state of the union. The topic of health will be discussed from 1:00 pm to 2:00pm ET on Friday, January 27th.
In order to achieve health equity, we need your help in bringing attention to this issue. Participate in this tweet chat and ask about the President’s plans to ensure good health for all Americans.
Here’s what you can do:
(1) Participate in tomorrow’s tweetchat, by using the #WHchat hashtag (If you’re new to Twitter, here’s a good post on what to do during a tweetchat.)
(2) Ask the president about his plans to ensure that all Americans have equal opportunity to good health. Here are some sample messages you can share:
How is @barackobama helping to ensure that all Americans have equal access to healthcare and good health? #WHchat
What are @barackobmama ’s plans to help alleviate disparities in health? #WHchat
