Zachary Janowski is an investigative reporter for the Yankee Institute for Public Policy, Connecticut’s free-market think tank. He covers government waste, fraud and abuse with a special focus on topics not getting enough coverage from other media outlets. He publishes his work at Raising Hale, the Yankee Institute’s media project. He also gives his articles to newspapers and appears regularly on the radio to discuss his stories. His interest in healthcare policy led him to complete the Connecticut Health Foundation’s Health Leadership Fellows program in 2010. Previously, he was editor of The Southington Citizen, a weekly newspaper, and a reporter at the Willimantic Chronicle. He lives in Plantsville with his wife and daughter.
